Brandy

Brandy.

No I do not refer to a former pop star.

Rather I exclaim the name of a distilled spirit made often from apples, pears or plums.

Notably I refer to this as I imbibe a particular Calvados style brandy; Calvados Boulard.

Its smooth taste of apples with a fiery finish calms the beast within and calls forth creativity.

As Samuel Johnston said,

Claret (Sherry) is the liquor for boys; port for men; but he who aspires to be a hero must drink brandy.

Yum!

I'm not averse to a single-malt scotch once in a while, either.
